Gina Kelly
Gina Kelly is the talent behind Weather Maker Press, an LA based company which produces gig posters for many of your favorite bands. Currently a student in the Experimental Animation Dept. at the California Institute of the Arts, she's making films across all mediums including a live action short shot in Paris, a hand drawn comedy about a drunk goat saving a baby's life and children's bedtime story about a grasshopper. She's worked for many artists in both studio and museum settings including Takashi Murakami, Pat O'Neil, Herb Alpert, Brent Green, Andrea Zittel and musicians Andrew Bird, Beirut, Built to Spill, Bonnie Prince Billy and many more. She's even played in the Violent Femmes band for their 2005 tour! In the last two years, Gina has been studying under Stephen Chiodo of Chiodo Brothers studios, Suzan Pitt and Maureen Selwood. Though she's newer to animated films, Gina has shown in the Stuttgart Trick Film Festival and Pes claims to be a huge fan of her artwork. Her recent work even includes a music video for TV on the Radio! Gina's work has shown internationally and is included in several books on art and design. You can find her this summer in the studio screen printing, selling her work at The Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, IL, and working on pre-production for Super-Natura!
